Summer 2012
Dear Parents and/or Guardians:
It is with great excitement that we approach the beginning of another school year in the Pascack valley Regional High School District. In particular, we welcome our new freshmen to the district as they begin their exciting journey through high school. In addition, we are welcoming almost twenty new teachers and staff members that are joining our tradition of providing your children with a rich and varied educational experience.
You will be receiving information from your child’s respective high school with detailed information regarding school procedures, emergency contact information, and student schedules. The purpose of this correspondence is to inform you of important policies, transportation privileges, free or reduced lunch opportunities, a state-mandated survey, and insurance opportunities as they pertain to all students in the high school district.
Please review the following information at the conclusion of this letter and use the hyperlinks to access the appropriate websites and documents for additional information.
I encourage you to reach out to our building administration, guidance counselors, and other staff members if you have specific concerns or needs. I wish you a continued safe and enjoyable summer and we look forward to seeing your son or daughter in September!
Sincerely,
P. Erik Gundersen
Superintendent of Schools

Students must carry their bus pass with them at all times during the school year.
State Mandated Survey - Free and Reduced Lunch Instructions and ApplicationUnder state law,
ALL children enrolled in a public school district must be surveyed. Although our school currently does not participate in the federally funded Child Nutrition Programs, our school will offer free or reduced meals to qualified applicants.
FOR SURVEY PURPOSES, you must complete PART 1 on the "Free & Reduced Price School Meals Family Application", (click on link above). Then sign and date the application in PART 5 and return to school no later than September 23, 2011.
IF YOU WISH TO APPLY for free or reduced price meals please complete the “Free and Reduced Price School Meals Family Application", (click on link above). Only one application per family is needed for multiple children attending the high school. If you have children attending others schools you will need to apply at those schools. Please answer all questions; an incomplete application cannot be processed. Sign the application and return to school no later than September 23, 2011. Children who were eligible for free or reduced priced meals the previous school year must reapply to continue to receive benefits.
If you do NOT wish to share your information with Medicaid or NJ FamilyCare you MUST complete and sign the information sharing form for Medicaid or NJ FamilyCare and return to school no later than September 23, 2011.
